What is your Biggest Success?

We have had so many achievements during our 6 years in business. Our company turned 6 in May 2019, we have increased our revenue with each year in business, we employ 8 full-time staff members, have amazing South African and Australian clients who support us, receive the assistance from a mentor and know that our business and income is stable. Our biggest achievements, by far, was being awarded the National Small Business Champion in 2017 by the NSBC South African Small Business Awards as well as being recognised as a finalist in the CEO GLOBAL Pan African Awards in the ICT sector.

What has been your Biggest Hurdle?

Shortly after opening our doors, we started experiencing the challenges of owning a small business. The first 2 years were the hardest – cash flow issues, making sure salaries are paid on time, keeping accounting books up to date, tax payments, non-paying clients, and so much more. Most of these challenges don't ever go away, they just get harder as your business grows. However, the hardest hurdle to overcome is to never give up when things get hard and to keep going when you feel like you're failing.
