What Does Your Company Do?

We help people sleep at night. We change relationships for the better. We make employees more productive at work. We teach, we inspire and we change behaviour as we educate people on how to master their money, in 60 days or less. As South Africa's premier independent financial educator, we provide an aspirational employee benefit that improves employee morale, productivity and staff turnover, whilst helping top employers comply with legislative and scorecard requirements. We provide a measurable ROI & management dashboard as we change lives by putting people through our Wealthy Couples, Wealthy Me or Wealthy Workforce online courses. We also facilitate face-to-face training at corporates for those who don't have internet access, in either English or Zulu.

What is your Biggest Success?

Providing over 50,000 South Africans with a financial education to date has been immensely rewarding - particularly as so many of our learners keep in touch with us and let us know how they've changed their lives after doing one of our courses. Most recently, signing a deal to be the exclusive financial education partner to Discovery Bank has us enormously excited about how we're going to be able to learn and grow as a business, as we scale to deliver even more inspired financial education opportunities, to an even broader audience.

What has been your Biggest Hurdle?

Perception. For a long time, selling financial education was terribly unsexy. A grudge purchase in fact, particularly as we weren't of the traditional mould - which was typically to use financial education as a sophisticated sell for financial services products. Now, EdTech and FinTech are sexy in the startup world and there is a growing realisation that financial wellness is a key component to overall wellness as it directly affects health, relationships, productivity and stress. So we're grateful that our persistence in knowing we had an important and valuable offering to bring to the table, is starting to pay off. That of course brings new challenges: like cashflow as we scale.
