What Does Your Company Do?

We manufacture the best homemade gemere in 5l and 1l concentrate. Gemere is a traditional ginger beer that is popularly enjoyed at weddings, funerals, tombstone unveiling, church and family gatherings. The company was established by two female engineers on a path to prove that a previously non commercialized product especially amongst black people can become a household brand. We want to own the township market where at every special occasion they serve our product. We also preserving a traditional recipe that is slowly being lost amongst generations because the knowledge has not been passed on by the older generation to the younger generation. We offer entrepreneurial opportunity through our reseller model where people buy from us at a discount and resell for profit.

What is your Biggest Success?

-Nominee for youth in agriculture, forestry and fisheries under category of agro-processing small scale. -Featured on Move, Bona, fabulous women and Ackermans magazine. -Featured on Motsweding fm. This helped with brand awareness -Top 4 finalist Black Lion competition -been placed in 4 retail shops (foodlovers market sunward park and Stoneridge, metro cash and carry brits and Supa save Burgersfort) -Top 10 finalist during the 2018 entrepreneurs week sponsored by black umbrellas, nyda and GEP. -Growing revenue and creating a proper business structure to be funding ready. -Gaining customer credibility and brand growing. - Getting resellers model going and growing which helps with brand visibility and in turn more sales. -Getting our production facility and having the product sabs tested for shelf life and nutritional information -building customer credibility and having a solid growing market -We give our customers an authentic taste that hits home and creates an emotional connection hence our slogan going back to our roots. It reminds them of their grandmother's recipe. -We were innovate to make gemere concentrate and added preservatives for a longer shelf life. -We giving people convenience. They don't have to wait 12 hours to have the much loved drink. With ours they just mix with water and it's ready to be served.
